The expanded, print, second edition of Tatreez & Tea: Embroidery and Storytelling in the Palestinian Diaspora is now available for pre-order on Amazon! The book is in final stages of proofing, and will begin to ship on June 30th.
The print edition is an expanded and revised version, including over 40 embroidery designs, 8 coffee and tea recipe, a special quince preserve recipe, hundreds of photographs, embroidery guidance, inspiration and more.
If you donated to the LaunchGood fundraiser last year on the $100+ giving levels, your book (and a little extra tatreez love) will ship on or around June 30th. Thank you so much for your support!
I recently interviewed with Zein El-Amine, from WPFW radio in Washington, DC, who hosts “Shay Wa Nana”. Listen more about my take on tatreez traditions, appropriation and resistance in the diaspora here. My interview is featured in the first 25 minutes of the show. Enjoy!
